ARNSW Membership
Join, renew, and stay connected with Amateur Radio New South Wales.
Tip: If you’ll be away around your renewal date, you’re welcome to renew in advance.
Why join ARNSW
Thank you for your interest in Amateur Radio NSW. Our aims are:
- to promote and encourage Amateur Radio activity on all Amateur bands
- to protect the interests of radio amateurs
- to provide a forum for discussion and interchange of ideas
- to promote the development of new techniques through education and experimentation
Anyone interested in radio communications or allied fields is eligible for membership. We currently have two classes of financial membership available: Full Member and Associate Member.
Under special circumstances, Honorary or Honorary Life Members may be elected by the Board from time to time, as per our Constitution.
Full membership
Eligibility: Anyone holding the relevant Certificate of Proficiency or ACMA Recognition Certificate.
Associate membership
Eligibility: Anyone without a Certificate of Proficiency for an Amateur Radio licence. Those involved in CB, shortwave listening (SWLs), Wi‑Fi, and electronics in general will find our activities of interest.
Note: Associate members do not have voting rights and are ineligible to hold a position on the Board.
Membership terms and fees
All new memberships and renewals are offered on either a two (2) year or five (5) year basis. These longer periods help minimise our handling overheads and costs.
Membership fees help support ARNSW activities, including VK2WI station operation, repeater and beacon facilities at Dural, and other facilities and functions. Payment can be made in person at any of our Dural events or by bank transfer.
Online join and renew
Start a new membership online via Join ARNSW. Existing members can renew online through the Member Portal.
Renewal reminders are sent shortly before your membership is due for renewal.
